Saad Zaghloul was an influential Egyptianpolitical leader who played a crucial role in the country's struggle for independence from British colonial rule. Born in 1859 in the town of Ibyana in the Nile Delta, Zaghloul received his education in Egypt and then continued his studies in France. Saad Zaghloul, the Egyptian leader, was born in July 1858 in the village of Ebeianah in the Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate. He grew up an orphan, losing his father, the head of the village, when he was just over five years old. His mother was Lady Mariam, the daughter of Sheikh Abdel Aziz Barakat, one of the prominent landowners, and his guardian was his uncle Abdullah Barakat.
Educational Background:
Saad Zaghloul received his early education in traditional schools and later joined Al-Azhar in 1873. He studied under the guidance of Sheikh Jamal al-Din al-Afghani and Sheikh Muhammad Abdo. Saad worked for the "Al-Waqai' Al-Masriya" where he criticized the decisions of the abolished councils, summarized them, and commented on them. He later pursued a legal career.
Political Life:
Saad Zaghloul participated in the Arabi Revolt and wrote articles against British colonization, urging revolution and resistance against the Khedive Tawfiq, who was aligned with the English. Consequently, he lost his job. Saad began his political career by joining the political wing of Al

Saad Zaghloul Pasha (Arabic: سعد زغلول / ALA-LC: Saʻd Zaghlūl; also Sa'd Zaghloul Pasha ibn Ibrahim) (July 1857 – 23 August 1927) was an Egyptian revolutionary and statesman. He was the leader of Egypt's nationalist Wafd Party, and served as the first Honorary President of Al Ahly SC. He led a civil disobedience campaign with the goal of achieving independence for Egypt (and Sudan) from British rule. He played a key role in the Egyptian Revolution of 1919, as well as played a role in prompting the British Unilateral Declaration of Egyptian Independence in 1922. Read more on Wikipedia
