John Patrick Gauci
March 6,1928 - August 4, 2018

John was born in Detroit, MI to John And Christine Ryan Gauci.
He graduated from De la Salle High school in Detroit and obtained his BS from Cal State University in Long Beach.

John served in the United States Marine Corps for two years.
He was employed by Douglas Aircraft and McDonnell Douglas for 45 years. He retired as Payroll Manager in 1989.

He lived in Torrance and La Miranda most of his life.
For the last 15 years, he lived in the Oasis Community in Menifee.
John spent his retirement playing golf and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

John was predeceased by his Parents, John and Christine Gauci, his sons, John and Robert Gauci, sister Margaret Gillette, and ex wife Dolores Gauci.

He is survived by his wife, Remy Iman Gauci, his son, Thomas (Irene) Gauci. His stepchildren, Doran Solis, Barbara (Myron) Ausdemore, Daniel Iman and Donald (Emily) Iman. His grand children, Shalene, Ryan and Timothy (Codi) Gauci and 9 step grandchildren and 6 great grand children.

Joe Gauci

Australian soccer player (born 2000)

Joe Anthony Gauci (born 4 July 2000) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for Barnsley on loan from Premier League club Aston Villa and the Australia national team.

Gauci's professional career began when he received a scholarship deal with Central Coast Mariners and subsequently joined Adelaide City and Melbourne City before signing a scholarship contract with Adelaide United in 2020. Gauci made his A-League debut in 2021, and went on to make 76 appearances for Adelaide, before he was signed by Aston Villa in January 2024 for an undisclosed fee.

Internationally, Gauci has made seven appearances for the Australia national team. He received his first call-up in 2022 as a train-on player and made his debut in a friendly match against Ecuador in 2023.

Early life

Gauci was born on 4 July 2000 in Adelaide, Australia to parents of Maltese descent.[3] At the age of four, Gauci moved to Waiheke Island, New Zealand after his mother was posted as a general manager for Kangaroo Islan
