Velma Louise Hubbell

Marengo-Velma Louise Hubbell was born September 7, 1924 near What Cheer, Iowa. The daughter of William and Hannah (Jones) Campbell. Velma was united in marriage to Leonard William Hubbell on January 26, 1943 in Lancaster, Missouri. She enjoyed gardening, canning and visiting with family and friends. Velma died Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at the Rose Haven Nursing Home in Marengo at the age of 90 years.

She is survived by her five children: Rose Louise Cheney of Coralville, Gloria Hahn of Oskaloosa, Melinda (Robert) Kochuyt of Marengo, Terry Hubbell of Hiawatha and Jeff Hubbell of Victor; a daughter-in-law Phyllis Hubbell of Parnell; 26 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Velma was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leonard, son Albert, two sons-in-law: Larry Cheney and Earl Hahn; two brothers: Robert and Lewis and a sister: Doris Grover.

Celebration of Life Service will be 1:00 pm Saturday, May 23, 2015 at the Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time at te funeral home. Bu

Louise Keele Hubbell

Louise Keele Hubbell, 92, died Oct. 8 at North Big Horn Hospital in Lovell.

She was born Aug. 15, 1914, in Lovell, the daughter of Thomas Alexander and Luella Leithead Keele, the third of nine children. Louise graduated from Lovell schools in 1933. She later attended Billings Business College in Billings, Mont.

In 1937, she married Grant S. Hubbell from Cowley. To this union, two children were born: Rex Grant Hubbell and Ina Louise Hubbell. Grant worked construction and in the oilfields, and his job took them traveling to many locations from San Diego, Calif., to Saudi Arabia.

When Grant returned from Saudi Arabia in 1958, they bought the Keele farm fulfilling Grant's longtime dream of farming. After Grant's death, Louise continued as an active partner on the farm with her son Rex. Louise also worked as a nurse's aide for 20 years at the North Big Horn Hospital. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, quilting, and solving puzzles of all kinds. The doors of her home were always open to her grandchildren. Her love of the outdoors

Helen Louise Hubbell

When Helen Louise Hubbell was born on 7 June 1897, in Tacoma, Pierce, Washington, United States, her father, Max Barry Hubbell, was 22 and her mother, Laura Ann Roundtree, was 27. She married John Herbert Browne on 15 August 1919, in Tacoma, Pierce, Washington, United States. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 3 daughters. She lived in Pierce, Washington, United States in 1930 and Tacoma Election Precinct, Pierce, Washington, United States in 1940. She died on 4 February 1963, in Tacoma, Pierce, Washington, United States, at the age of 65, and was buried in Mountain View Memorial Park, Lakewood, Pierce, Washington, United States.
