Matthew William Parkinson (born 24 October 1996) is an English professional cricketer who plays for Kent County Cricket Club. He made his international debut for the England cricket team in November 2019.[1] Parkinson made his Test debut for England in June 2022, as a concussion substitute.[2] His twin brother, Callum, plays cricket for Durham CCC.
Domestic career
A leg-spin bowler, Parkinson, who was born at Bolton and educated at Bolton School,[1] made his first-class debut on 20 June 2016 for Lancashire against Warwickshire in the 2016 County Championship, taking 5 for 49 in the first innings.[3] He made his Twenty20 debut for Lancashire in the 2017 NatWest t20 Blast on 16 July 2017.[4]
In January 2022, Parkinson signed a contract extension to keep him at Lancashire until the end of the 2023 season.[5] In April 2022, he was bought by the Manches

Matt Parkinson is an actor, comedian, radio broadcaster and former Sale of the Century quiz champion.
Matt began his career as an actor in Perth, starring in a number of theatre and film productions as well as performing with the Pablo Clown Company.
In 1987 he moved to Melbourne as half of the comedy duo Empty Pockets. After winning the inaugural Moosehead award for new talent in 1988, Empty Pockets appeared nationwide on The Big Gig a year later. In three years they wrote and performed 100 original comedy sketches for TV, as well as an award-winning TV commercial or Toyota. They also toured briefly to London and Edinburgh, being nominated for the Daily Express New Names of 90 Award.
Since then, Matt has worked extensively in film and television, and most recently as a member of Triple M’s The Cage Breakfast Show.

Matthew Parkinson is an Australian comedian, actor, radio presenter and quiz show personality.
Life and career
Parkinson was born in Perth, Western Australia. He began acting at school and studied theatre arts at the Western Australian Institute of Technology. His professional career began in Perth at the Hole in the Wall Theatre where he appeared in Hamlet, The Cherry Orchard, A Midsummer Night's Dream and the title role in Ben Johnson's The Alchemist.
Parkinson was formerly a member of the comedy duo the Empty Pockets, along with Matthew Quartermaine, who featured regularly on the television comedy shows The Big Gig[1][2] and Full Frontal.[3]
