3 Doors Down frontman Brad Arnold has recognized a significant moment in his life, revealing that he is now eight years sober.
Posting on Instagram, the vocalist noted, "January 19 is a special day for me every year. It marks the start of a new year of a new life, a life without a bottle in my hand."
He continued, "I feel like a different person than I did eight years ago…..and it feels so good. Without question, God took that burden from me. I was so tired of carrying it. I couldn’t carry it any more so I gave it to God and I’m not taking it back! If you’re struggle with something, give it to Him. He’ll gladly take your burden and you’ll never have to carry it again."

Formed in 1996 as a trio, 3 Doors Down added a fourth member two years later before rocketing to overnight success with their mega-hit 'Kryptonite' in 2000. The single topped the Mainstream Rock Charts as well as reaching number three on Billboard's Top 40 Chart. Follow up singles 'Loser' and 'Duck and Run' went to number one on Mainstream Rock. By the end of 2000 the band's debut album 'The Better Life' would be among the top 10 selling releases for the year and has since been certified 6× platinum (selling over 6 million copies).

Bradley Kirk Arnold (born September 27, 1978) is an American musician, best known as the lead singer and drummer of the Mississippi-based rock band 3 Doors Down.
Early life
Arnold grew up in Escatawpa, Mississippi. He wrote the song "Kryptonite" in high school during math class at age 15.
Career
Arnold is a founding member of 3 Doors Down, and was 16 years old at the time of the band's formation. Arnold was initially both a drummer and a singer, before focusing on the latter role around the time guitarist Chris Henderson joined the band.

Personal life
Arnold is a recovering alcoholic who stopped drinking in 2016.[1] He was married to his first wife Crystal Roberts from 2001 to 2007. On February 1, 2006, Arnold was involved in a car accident after the vehicle he was in hydroplaned and collided with a tree; Arnold was not the driver of the vehicle.[2] The crash resulted in Arnold receiving dozens of stitches
