Bhagwant Singh Mann (born 17 October 1973), better known by his stage name "Jugnu", is an Indian politician, social worker, former comedian, singer and actor who is currently serving as the 17th Chief Minister of Punjab since 2022. He represents the Dhuri Assembly constituency in the Punjab Legislative Assembly since 2022 and is also serving as the state convener of Aam Aadmi Party, Punjab since 2019.[2] Previously, he was a member of the lower house of Parliament from Sangrur from 2014 to 2022.[3]
Early life
Mann was born on 17 October 1973 in a Jat family in Satoj village of Sunam tehsil of Sangrur district, Punjab, India. He completed Class 12 at Govt. School at Chemma Village, Sunam.[4]
Acting career
Mann participated in youth comedy festivals and inter-college competitions.[5] He won two gold medals at a competition at the Punjabi University, Patiala for the Shaheed Udham Singh Government College, Sunam.

Bhagwant Singh Bangeshwar
Sardar Bhagwant Singh Bangeshwar (Sarkar-i-Bangash-O-Amir-i-Umara-i-Azam) was an Indian ruler of the Bangash (in present-day Pakhtunkhwa) of the 18th century. He was a cousin of Bhai Mani Singh.[1]
Titles
"Bangeshwar" or " Bangash-Pati " are the titles he was known with from the name of the state he ruled the Bangash in the Kurram Valley. Kurram, at the time was a Pashtun state extending from the Indus River to Kurram River in present-day Pakistan.
